my bouquet August 15, 2009

Although I have made hundreds of wedding bouquets over the years, there are very few that I would actually consider having for myself, but this is one of them. It’s actually deceptively simple, just a large posy of cream and white roses with green dendrobium orchids. But the, twiggy vines, Vinca vine and Stephanotis vine turn ordinary into spectacular. This bouquet would look absolutely amazing with a classic ballgown dress.  Finished it’s about 4 feet long – you definitely need your high heels on! – and a real show stopper.

This bride was looking for something a little more traditional but with a unique twist. She really took a fancy to this artificial vine we have instore, so I worked it into her classic rose and lisianthus posy by weaving it throughout the flowers, using it as a surrounding collar, and letting it form a drop down the front of her gown. Pink pearls are scattered throughout the bouquet and are also threaded onto the vine.
