I really, really, really love peonies! These are

 “Duchesse de Nemours” with “Something Special”

 roses for the bridesmaids, and “Duchesse de Nemours”

 and “Bowl of Cream” with “Vendella roses for the

bride. Vintage deco brooches adorn the stem wraps.

 Absolutely everything in this wedding, from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the cake to the venue decor was some shade of purple!       A mixed summer posy of singapore orchids, mauve roses, freesias, sweet peas, delphinuims, echinops, viburnum berries  and deep purple lisianthus blooms, decorated with iridescent peacock feathers, aubergine ribbon and crystal trim.

Some people find rose posies a bit uninspired, but the truth is that they are classics and will still look good 20 years from now in photographs. This bride chose traditional whites and creams and I added waxy stephanotis blooms to give it a gorgeous scent.

Bride and Bridesmaids’ posies of roses with beargrass, astelia and diamantes. The bride had red ‘Grand Prix’ roses while the bridesmaids’ had white ‘Akito’ roses.
