frightfully bright December 7, 2008

Another truly fantastic bride with a streak of fun a mile wide. These were her bridesmaid’s bouquets – orange calla lilies, orange miniature gerberas and orange (what else?!) asiatic lilies surrounded by bright blue ostrich feathers. Copper speargrass over the top with blue diamantes. Some would consider this too much for a wedding but I loved making it and the photos were fabulous.

The Bride’s bouquet had pink and white roses, silver leucadendron, stephanotis and of course, white ostrich feathers.

my bouquet August 15, 2009

Although I have made hundreds of wedding bouquets over the years, there are very few that I would actually consider having for myself, but this is one of them. It’s actually deceptively simple, just a large posy of cream and white roses with green dendrobium orchids. But the, twiggy vines, Vinca vine and Stephanotis vine turn ordinary into spectacular. This bouquet would look absolutely amazing with a classic ballgown dress. Finished it’s about 4 feet long – you definitely need your high heels on! – and a real show stopper.
